Not just experienced, but relevant experience
The founders of SecQube, Cymon and Dujon, bring a wealth of experience in running Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) for clients in both the UK and the US, ensuring a reliable and trustworthy solution. Initially, their journey began with ProectOrg, an MSSP established in the US, which aimed at specific customers across various verticals. They quickly recognised the hurdles that MSSPs face in selling Security Operations Center (SOC) services, especially in highly regulated markets. This realisation prompted them to pivot their focus toward becoming an Independent Software Vendor (ISV), with a specific emphasis on Microsoft Sentinel. Despite the challenges of finding, securing, and training talent, SecQube was founded in the UK in early 2024 and has since forged a robust partnership with Microsoft UK. This collaboration positions SecQube to effectively address the needs of clients while navigating the competitive landscape of cybersecurity services.
It became increasingly clear that there was a significant opportunity to offer the SecQube Security portal to Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) around the world, rather than just using it for internal competition. This realiation prompted some necessary technical adjustments that have now been completed, leading to a fully native Azure application designed with a serverless architecture that allows for virtually unlimited growth potential. Additionally, this development confirms that the concepts and functionalities of the SecQube Security Portal are already well-established and have demonstrated their effectiveness.
SecQube's founders have always been UK-based and, having proactively moved the company to the UK, have been able to leverage their own networks, knowledge and experience to establish the business effectively. Since relocating, meetings with business partners face-to-face, attending events, and managing back-office conversations have been much more efficient and productive. Overall, this decision has proven to be a positive and constructive step towards the growth and success of the company.
The skills gap in the field of Security, particularly with Microsoft Sentinel, presents a significant challenge for many. Whether you’re part of an internal Security Operations Center (SOC), a Managed Service Provider (MSP) looking to offer SOC services, or a Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) already delivering these services, you’re likely facing similar hurdles in finding, securing, training, and retaining skilled personnel. The SecQube Security Portal directly addresses these issues, making it an essential solution if you're currently using or considering Microsoft Sentinel. We understand these challenges firsthand, having navigated them ourselves.
We’ve successfully made our services affordable for clients of all sizes, so don’t worry about pricing being a hurdle—it won’t be. The move to a SaaS/PaaS platform has effectively tackled that pricing concern. This is fantastic news for everyone involved!
For the techies amongst you...
As stated above, the SecQube Security Portal has been used in the US with a handful of paying customers. But, since the transition, has the software been modified? Indeed, it has; in fact, there has been a significant technical transformation. Previously, we used a hybrid solution that employed the SCOM SDK and sync service. However, we have since migrated to an Azure Application, eliminating the need for servers. As a result, our software can now be deployed to any region or data centre within the Azure world. This change represents a substantial improvement in terms of redundancy and scalability, which is paramount to our continued growth and success.
