Not just experienced, but relevant experience
The founders of SecQube can boast experience of running MSSPs in both the UK and the US. In fact, in it's first incarnation SecQube was established as an MSSP in the US under the brand ProtectOrg, targeting specific customers in specific verticals. ProtectOrg quickly learned how competitive and challenging it is for MSSPs to sell SOC services, even in heavily regulated markets. The founders realised this and decided to pivot the business based on a number of facts and re-establish it as SecQube. Fundamentally, SecQube was established in the UK in early 2024 and has established a strong partnership with Microsoft UK.
What became glaringly obvious was the potential to offer the SecQube Security portal to all MSSPs globally, rather than just use it internally to compete with them. This necessitated some technical changes which have now been completed, resulting in a fully native Azure app, serverless design with virtually unlimited scope to grow at speed. What it also means is that the concept and capabilities of the SecQube Security Portal are already tried, tested and proven.
SecQube's founders have always been UK-based and, having proactively moved the company to the UK, have been able to leverage their own networks, knowledge and experience to establish the business effectively. Since relocating, meetings with business partners face-to-face, attending events, and managing back-office conversations have been much more efficient and productive. Overall, this decision has proven to be a positive and constructive step towards the growth and success of the company.
Finally, we know that the skills gap in Security generally and Microsoft Sentinel specifically is a challenge for everyone. Whether you are an internal SOC, an MSP wanting to offer SOC services or an MSSP already offering SOC services, everyone faces the same challenges around finding, securing, training and retaining people. For the techies amongst you...
As stated above, the SecQube Security Portal has been in use in the US with a handful of paying customers. But, since the transition, has the software been modified? Indeed it has, in fact there has been a significant technical transformation. Previously, we used a hybrid solution that employed the SCOM SDK and sync service. However, we have since migrated to an Azure Application, eliminating the need for servers. As a result, our software can now be deployed to any region or data centre within the Azure world. This change represents a substantial improvement in terms of redundancy and scalability, which is paramount to our continued growth and success.
We are sharing all of this with you for a few reasons. Firstly, we are extremely proud of what we have achieved and are unwavering in our confidence in our ability to continue to grow and develop the solution.
